A lollipop Trail Day hike of around 7 miles which includes a moderate climb of around 2 miles, a loop of around 3 miles on relatively level terrain within Day Pond State Park and a moderate descent of 2 miles. Highlights include views of the Salmon River, a waterfall, remnants of an old village and Day Pond. Meet at 9:00 am at the parking lot for the Comstock Covered Bridge. Dogs welcome. Rain cancels. Take Rte. 16 to Comstock Bridge Rd in East Hampton just before or after (depending on direction) Colchester town line, parking lot is immediately on right. CL Trail Dog Callie.
