All hikers must PRE-REGISTER WITH THE LEADER: [email protected]. Meet at 9:15 for a prompt 9:30 start. No dogs. This is a fairly-level hike of 3 miles through the woods and around Lake Wintergreen at West Rock Ridge State Park. We are not going up to the Regicides Trail. There is one rocky area where hikers might want to use poles, but this area is very small. Mud is likely, so wear waterproof footwear. Bring water, a snack, personal medications and first-aid supplies, sunscreen, tick and insect repellent. Meet at the Lake Wintergreen parking lot, 40 Main Street, Hamden CT. This is not the main entrance to West Rock! There is a portable toilet there. Remember that you must PRE-REGISTER by 6:00 PM THE NIGHT BEFORE THE HIKE: [email protected].
