Overview

Join us for 3 days of biking in the beautiful Burlington, VT/Lake Champlain region. We will ride into Quebec to enjoy lunch in the lovely village of Venise-en-Quebec on Saturday. A valid passport or passport card is required for the trip to Canada. We will view landscapes of picturesque coastline, quaint island life, and rolling Vermont hills and mountains. Each day will offer at least 2 ride options: one with a range of 23-44 miles and one 43-59 miles, both at an average pace of 13-15mph. Elevation gain will vary depending on the route. Friday's rides will begin in downtown Burlington, traveling across the Colchester Causeway and Bike Ferry to South Hero Island and a winery. Saturday we have a remote start north of Burlington and ride to Venise-en-Quebec. Sunday will offer a choice of rides south of Burlington along the edge of the Green Mountains for some more hilly terrain, or along the beautiful Winooski River for a flatter ride. Most roads are pavement, but some scenic roads and bike paths are packed dirt or gravel. There is a non-refundable Registration Fee of $35.50 payable to AMC via the PayPal link below. This fee will cover food for one Happy Hour as well as partially defray volunteer leader costs (such as navigation, lodging, setting up and leading rides, logistical support, and meal arrangements). Participants will self-pay for lodging, food, and any ferry services. Once you've registered, the hotel information will be e-mailed to you. Saturday and Sunday breakfast will be included in the hotel fee. Lodging will be approximately $225.00 per night (per room), which includes a 9% lodging tax. Rooms have either two double beds or one queen bed, so that cost can be shared with roommates. If people are seeking a roommate, we can try to help but are ultimately unable to guarantee this. Participants should consider this when booking a room. To register please fill out the google form and pay the fee via the PayPal link. Please don't book hotel rooms until you are accepted on the trip. We welcome newcomers, so will hold 3 rooms for folks new to AMC or who have never participated in a weekend trip with AMC, until June 15th.
