This introductory 2 day backpack is part of the Worcester Chapter's Inner Backpacker Workshop series. We will hike through the Pemigewasset Wilderness to Thoreau Falls and Ethan Pond, camping at a stealth campsite. This moderate to vigorous trip is about 16 mi and has 2250 ft of elevation gain. We will hike at a slow to moderate pace (1.0-2mph). Participants are expected to be self-sufficient on this trip. Registration preference goes to those who attended the Worcester Chapter's Backpacking Workshop on May 4th, 2024. Backpackers that have not participated in the Backpack Workshop are welcome to register but will be wait listed until 3 weeks prior to the trip when it will open up for approved participants as room allows. Some backcountry hiking experience is preferred for this trip.
