Overview

Join us for a two-day overnight hut stay as we hike over Mounts Hale, Zealand, Guyot, West Bond, Bond, and Bondcliff. Day one is planned to begin at Hale Brook Trail for an ascent of Mt Hale (4054), completing our shorter first day at Zealand Hut. On day two, we will depart our cozy abode at Zealand Hut and continue up Twinway Trail and over Mounts Zealand (4260) and Guyot (4580) before turning onto Bondcliff Trail for our longer journey over West Bond (4540), Mt. Bond (4698), and Bondcliff (4265) to our destination of Lincoln Woods. This is a strenuous trip with elevation gain and loss as we navigate. Some backpacking experience is required, along with longer distances and necessary gear. Leaders will follow up registration with a call before final registration is submitted. We will expect a slower pace on some of our ascents and descents; however, we will increase that when possible on the ridge and the Lincoln Woods Trail. There are no sherpas for hire, so you must carry your gear and food. We will carry food to supplement the hut food: two lunches and high-energy snacks. Water systems and 2-3 liters of water will also be required. Gear for overnight and backwoods hiking will also be required. Overnight accommodations are being held, and once registration is complete, participants will receive the information necessary to secure their space from the block being held for this trip. The cost is $149.00 for members and slightly more for non-members, plus any fees AMC charges. Car spotting will be required.
