Join us on a 6-mile hike around Lake Galena in Peace Valley Park, Doylestown, PA, then enjoy the AMC-Delaware Valley Annual Picnic (the picnic itself is a separate reservation, see activities.outdoors.org/search/index.cfm/action/details/id/148329). We will hike at a moderate pace to enjoy each other's company. Elevation 300 ft. Conditions permitting, we will hike around the lake on paved trails and natural surfaces. There may be a narrow stream crossing. We will meet at Peace Valley Park Picnic Pavilion #4 (note the change from previous years). There are restrooms near the pavilion. Please bring snacks and plenty of water, and dress for the weather. Steady rain cancels the hike (but not the picnic!). If in doubt, check the status on ActDB. from Doylestown, PA, drive PA-313 (Swamp Rd.) northwest; L (=southwest) on New Galena Rd.; just before road turns sharply right divert L to remain on New Galena Rd; pass by Pavilion No. 5! After a straight stretch of road, Pavilion 4 parking lot is to the left, in a curvy section of road. Pavilion 4 is the one to the left, as you look downhill towards the lake (756 New Galena Rd, Chalfont, PA 18914 (Note: Pavilion #3, not ours, is downhill to the right)
