Wompatuck State Park,
Massachusetts, Berkshires,
MA United States
First preference for this hike will be given to those who attended the Spring Workshops on May 11, 2024. If space is available 4 days before each hike, registrations for others will be approved and you will receive a confirming email. An Information Sheet will be sent to all confirmed hikers. Join us as we explore the trails in Wompatuck State Park, a state-owned, public recreation area of about 3,500 acres, located primarily in the town of Hingham with portions in the neighboring towns of Cohasset, Norwell, Scituate and Norwell. The park has more than 70 miles of roads, multi-use trails and bike paths, offering hiking, road/mountain biking, horseback riding, hunting, fishing, camping, and skiing. Our hike will take us on moderately graded, woodland trails for about 5 miles with an elevation gain of approximately 300 feet. Duration of the hike is expected between 3.5 and 4 hours, including break for lunch. We do hike in the rain so only severe thunderstorms or heavy rain and/or winds may delay or cancel our hike.
