Overview

Join us for a day hike to the summits of Middle Carter (4,610 ft), South Carter (4,430 ft), and Carter Dome (4,832 ft), all on the NH 4K-Footers list. This will be a strenuous 12-mile hike with around 4000 ft of elevation gain. We'll hike at a moderate pace, and the hike should require 8-10 hours to complete. Participants should be in good physical condition with recent experience hiking similar distances and elevations, and gear appropriate for a spring hike in the Whites. Weather permitting, we'll get grand views of the Presidential Range to the west and into Maine on the east. The planned trip destination, activity and/or meeting place and time may be modified to address unforeseen challenges such as adverse weather, unacceptable trail conditions or excessive crowding. In that event, participants may elect to join in that activity or opt-out.
