Overview

Join us for a hike up Mount Chocorua and Middle Sister. If the sky is clear we will have some wonderful views of surrounding peaks, beautiful forestry, and surrounding bodies of water. This hike will be a moderately paced loop hike with a distance of 8.4 miles round trip with approximately 2,969 feet of elevation gain. We will be hiking up some semi-steep ledges so participants should be prepared for that. Interested participants should have some experience hiking similar distances and elevation gain. The White Mountains at this time of year can be muddy and wet so participants should be prepared for muddy trails and possibility of lower temperatures. Participants will need appropriate footwear and rain gear, non-cotton tops and bottoms, and must carry an extra warm layer. To address unforeseen challenges such as adverse weather, unacceptable trail conditions or excessive crowding, the planned trip destination, activity and/or meeting place and time may be modified. In that event, participants may elect to join in that activity or opt out.
