Join us for a hike up Mt. Adams (5,774). This hike will be a challenging hike as we will be hiking up 4,432 ft of elevation gain with the total distance of this hike being 7.5 miles round trip. We will hike as a group at a moderate pace. During the hike we will be doing some scrambling up so interested participants should have experience hiking similar distance and elevation gain. We will be above treeline and if we are lucky enough to have clear skies we will have some wonderful views at the summit. The White Mountains at this time of year can be muddy and wet so participants should be prepared for muddy trails and possibility of lower temperatures. Participants will need appropriate footwear and rain gear, non-cotton tops and bottoms, and must carry an extra warm layer. To address unforeseen challenges such as adverse weather, unacceptable trail conditions or excessive crowding, the planned trip destination, activity and/or meeting place and time may be modified. In that event, participants may elect to join in that activity or opt out.
