Overview

Join us for 2 incredible peaks Mt. Rowe and Mt Gunstock. From the peak of Mt Gunstock, we will be treated to a panoramic view of Lake Wiinnepaskae. The view to our northeast looks out towards the Green Mountains and the Ossipee Range is in full view to the north across the lake. We will park at the Gilford Elementary School parking lot and follow the blue-blazed trail to our first peak, Mt. Rowe, from there we will traverse across the ridgeline and begin our ascent to the top of Mt Gunstock. Our hike will be 7 miles with a total elevation gain of 1850 feet. The grade is moderate and the hike is forested until we reach the ridge line and begin our traverse. We will hike as a group at a moderate pace, and enjoy breaks and hydration rests along the way. We will have a nice break on top of Mt. Rowe of approximately 15 minutes before traversing the ridge and making our final push to the top of Mt Gunstock. We plan to spend about 20 to 30 minutes enjoying the views and having lunch before our final descent. Annemarie will contact you after you sign up to complete your registration. Additional details regarding gear and weather expectations will be provided one week prior to the hike. Heavy rain will cancel our hike.
