Overview

Join us to Hike Washington we will ascend via Huntington Ravine which is an extremely steep and treacherous terrifying 25. It is said that the Huntington Ravine is the single most challenging regular hiking trail in the White Mountain National Forest. This hike is not for those afraid of heights. This is a 9.5 mile hike with 4800 feet of elevation gain will feature several scrambles and an easy water crossing. We will move at a moderate pace over varied terrain. Plan on an all day hike. Please be an experienced hiker in good physical condition. To address unforeseen challenges such as adverse weather, unacceptable trail conditions or excessive crowding, the planned trip destination, activity and/or meeting place and time may be modified. In that event, participants may elect to join in that activity or opt out.

Tom enjoy's hiking, backpacking, biking, skiing,, golf, running, and pickleball. He has hiked the entire Appalachian Trail, some of the other NH 4000 footers and will be undertaking the John Muir Trail September 2021. He also volunteers as the Assistant Treasurer for the Hiking and Backpack committee.
