Registration is required for this activity.

Overview

Join us for an ascent of Mount Moosilauke (4802') via steep, rocky trails past numerous waterfalls. We will cover 7.9 miles and 3185 feet of elevation gain at a moderate pace (1.5-2 mph). Participants should plan to be on trail for 8+ hours. We may also make a stop at the nearby peak Mount Blue, one of the Trailwright peaks, via a short herd path. A mountaintop lunch will be had, however, in case of inclement weather, a shelter halfway up the mountain will be a safe stopping point. This is an out-and-back hike on steep terrain. Participants should be prepared for heights, cool weather, and wet trail conditions and have recent hiking experience in the Whites. Poor weather will cancel the trip or change the route to something off the terrifying 25 list. The planned trip destination, activity and/or meeting place and time may be modified to address unforeseen challenges such as adverse weather, unacceptable trail conditions or excessive crowding. In that event, participants may elect to join in that activity or opt out.
