Overview

You are cordially invited to join us for our 30th anniversary trip to Western Maine to enjoy the gorgeous autumn scenery of western Maine over Columbus Day weekend. We'll be staying at the Maine House, located on the shore of beautiful Lake Christopher, the house will be the base for our many hikes and other outdoor activities. The Maine House has cozy private rooms for couples and comfy bunks for singles. The dining area has a panoramic view over the lake, and a large living room with a fireplace invites all to relax and socialize during the evening. In addition, there is a hot tub and a steam room to help you recover after your day of activities. The trip fee includes three nights lodging (Fri - Sun), three breakfasts and make-your-own-lunch buffets, and two tasty dinners. Everyone helps with set-up or clean-up for a meal. With about 30 people on the trip, we will be able to offer several hikes each day, ranging from easy to strenuous, as well as other activities. We will lead one road biking trip, and there are nearby DIY paddling opportunities. You may just want to take in the fall colors, or visit the nearby Fryeburg Fair or the Sunday River Fall Festival. The trip cost this year is $160. We hope you can join us.
