Overview

Tag 6, yes 6, 4000s in one weekend! Saturday hike the North (4180), Middle (4140) and South (4090) Tripyramids. This hike will be a moderately paced loop hike with a distance of 10 miles round trip with approximately 2,903 feet of elevation gain. Since we plan on hiking up the North Slide this hike includes lengthy sections of extremely steep slab scrambling so you should have experience with similar hikes. After spending the night camping at Osceola or Waterville campground we will hike Mt Osceola (4340) and East Osceola (4156) a 7.8 miles round trip with 2555 feet of gain and if feeling ambitious hike Mt Tecumseh (4003) a 5 mile round trip with 2283 feet of gain. You will have the option of arriving Friday night and camping for the Saturday start. To address unforeseen challenges such as adverse weather, unacceptable trail conditions or excessive crowding, the planned trip destination, activity and/or meeting place and time may be modified. In that event, participants may elect to join in that activity or opt out.
