Come enjoy the last dregs of summer with an early September hike to the Kinsmans! We'll climb 3,234 feet of elevation over 9.8 miles of varied terrain to tag North Kinsman (4,274ft) and South Kinsman (4,356ft). Weather permitting, we'll have epic 360 views of Franconia Ridge, the Notch, and surrounding peaks. Portions of this route are quite steep featuring rock scrambles and ladders, and others have brief above-tree line exposure. This is a challenging hike: interested participants should have recent prior experience hiking similar distances and elevation gain (~10 miles, 3000ft+). Please update your REGI profile to assist with screening. To address unforeseen challenges such as adverse weather, unacceptable trail conditions or excessive crowding, the planned trip destination, activity and/or meeting place and time may be modified. In that event, participants may elect to join in that activity or opt out.
