Overview

Join us for a fall hike that will take us to six of Acadia National Park's stunning summits. We will start on the Hadlock Brook trail and make a loop to reach Cedar Swamp Mountain where there is wreckage of a plane crash that we can visit just off the summit. We will continue on to Penobscot Mountain, Sargent Mountain, Gilmore Peak, Parkman Mountain, and Bald Peak. We will hike by beautiful Hadlock Falls and should see some colorful fall foliage along our way. This will be a slow/moderate paced hike of 6-7 miles with an elevation gain of 1,738 feet that requires some scrambling up ledge. The hike includes granite steps, open ledge, and forest floor with rocks and roots. A National Park Pass or Acadia Pass is required to park in the national park. Carpooling from outside the park is an option.
