Would you like to step up to a leadership position in the Appalachian Mountain? Add to your resume? The AMC New York-North Jersey AMC chapter is looking for a member to help with communications. This position is a volunteer non-paid liaison function between the various communications functions and the Chapter's Executive Committee; communications and social media knowledge is not required but is helpful. The Communications group includes the monthly eBlast to members, social media, and the website. Each of these functions has a person responsible for it, working with the Communications Liaison person, who is a member of the Chapter's Executive Committee (ExComm). The ExComm is responsible for the governance of the Chapter. All members take part in discussions and voting about chapter policy and management. AMC membership is required, but it is not necessary to be a trip leader or a long-time member.
