Come enjoy early October on Welch and Dickey Mountains! This is a gorgeous double peak 52 With-A-View on any day, but with fall colors starting to turn and the cooler October temps, it should be extra rewarding. We will take a less traditional clockwise loop to accomplish this 4.4 mile, 1,800' elevation gain hike. Footing for this hike is generally good, with some steep sections and a few small scrambles. Ledges and open slabs rule the day, and while this makes for dramatically open views, it can be more slippery when wet. Good footwear is required! Given that it is early October, be prepared with layering for both warmer and cooler temps, and rain gear in case we get wet. We will hike at a relaxed pace with an aim to just enjoy the day.
