Overview

Come with us to paddle the class II upper section of the Winnipesaukee river! This is a 2-mile run with few class 2 rapids and other features that are great for practicing your whitewater skills. See the American Whitewater website link below for more info on this section of the river. Depending on paddling time, we may be able to run this section twice. Afterwards, join us for the AMC NH Paddlers Annual Meeting in Tilton to learn about future initiatives and meet other fellow paddlers. Requirements: - Open to kayak and canoe paddlers with previous whitewater experience. - If you bring your boat, it needs to have flotation bags to be ready for whitewater boats can be rented from the NH AMC chapter; contact us for more info. - You need to wear a PFD, helmet, and appropriate footwear while on the river at all times. - Wet suit or dry suit required; paddling gloves recommended.
