Overview

Join us on a day hike to Mount Greylock, the highest peak in Massachusetts! From the summit of Mount Greylock, you can enjoy a stunning 360-degree view that stretches up to 90 miles in every direction on a clear day, including views of five states. There is also the Veterans War Memorial Tower, which is a tribute to Massachusetts' war veterans, and picnic tables for us to enjoy summit snacks. Plan for a moderate pace across 6.6 miles, gaining approximately 2,000 feet of elevation. Part of the trail is paved but there are steeper and rockier parts closer to the summit. Estimated hiking time for this trip, depending on the group and conditions, is up to 6 hours. Prepare for up to 3 hours of driving time to reach the trailhead. Approved participants will receive additional detailed information including meeting location and time. To address unforeseen challenges such as adverse weather, unacceptable trail conditions or excessive crowding, the planned trip destination, activity and/or meeting place and time may be modified. In that event, participants may elect to join in that activity or opt out.
