Overview

In conjunction with the Maine Chapter Fall Fest & Annual Gathering, join us at one of Midcoast Conservancy's more popular preserves in Waldoboro for a morning of light trail work. Riverbrook Preserve has over a mile of fresh water frontage on the Medomak River, over 3 miles of trails, and covers over 350 acres. Being just one of a couple dozen preserves the Conservancy takes care of, it needs periodic maintenance with the help of volunteers. On Sunday morning, we'll be meeting at the trail head on the east side of Rte. 220 to help clean up a portion of the trails that goes through the woods. But we'll be sure to check out a bit of the lovely river shoreline while we are there. When you register, we'll talk about timing, what to bring, and what can be provided.

A life-long hiker and lover of the woods of northern New England, I greatly enjoy working with others on trails for the camaraderie and the opportunity to give a little something back to these places we are so fortunate to enjoy. As a Maine Master Naturalist, I also enjoy observing nature and learning with others out on the trail.
