Overview

Join us as part of the Thursday Morning Hike Series as we explore the trails of Noon Hill and adjacent Shattuck Reservation, two open space preserves located in Medfield, Massachusetts that are managed by The Trustees of the Reservation. We will be hiking about 6.5 miles with approximately 600 feet of elevation gain. Our hike includes the Noon Hill Overlook, views of Holt Pond, the Charles River and it's surrounding marshland and covers a portion of the Bay Circuit Trail. Hikers should be prepared for some uneven, rocky terrain with tree roots, pine needles and leaves. The duration of this moderately-paced hike is expected to be about 4 hours and will allow for some short scenery pauses and a short lunch break. We start and finish as a group. Pets are not permitted on the hike except for pre-approved service dogs. Please wear sturdy footwear and clothing suitable for the fall hiking season and bring 2 liters of water, lunch/snacks, and bug spray. The hike may be cancelled in the event of heavy rain. Since this hike will take place during the Massachusetts fall hunting/archery season, please wear some blaze orange clothing, vest or hat.
