Hiking the trails of Barnstable Conservation Area. This is a wonderful area to get a workout! There are many hills with an altitude gain of 350 feet. We will visit the Walker Lookout and the highest point in Barnstable (232 ft) Hiking poles are strongly suggested and good hiking foot wear--this is not a place for sneakers or novice hikers! 4+ miles, 2+ hours. Need water, tick/mosquito repellent. Since this is a Show and Go hike, please check the website on the day of the hike to make sure there hasn't been a cancellation, most often due to weather.

From the east take exit 63 (old 4) and turn left (south) drive .6 of a mile and park under the high tension lines. From the west take exit 63 (old 4) turn right and drive .6 of a mile and park under the high tension lines.
