Hike in Cape Cod National Seashore with a variety of views and terrain. Travel along a salt pond, thru woodlands, tall marsh grass and an ocean view at Coast Guard beach. We will visit historical sites as we hike the 4.5 miles. Hike is rated easy. Heavy rain will cancel. Hikers should wear appropriate footwear as there are many roots on trails. Water, insect repellent, and rain gear are recommended. Hikes can be cancelled for various circumstances, please check web site on day of hike. Directions: Rt 6 east to Orleans Rotary, travel towards Eastham. Take right turn at Nauset Rd to Cape Cod National Seashore Salt Pond Visitors Center, park in main lot. In support of AMC conservation mission please carpool when possible. No parking pass is required.
