Overview

A moderate paced hike through the northern portion of the state park in both Framingham and Marlborough, past picturesque Beebe Pond and through Baiting Brook Meadow Conservation Land, a Christmas tree farm. The trip includes Gibbs Mountain and portions of the BCT and includes paths through the interior forest as well as open fields. We'll cover 7 miles with ups and downs with an estimated elevation gain of about 800 ft.. Plan to be out for 4+ hours depending on the pace of the group (which can vary). Wear waterproof hiking boots. Be prepared for a possibly muddy trail including deep puddles. Wear moisture wicking layers and clothing appropriate for the temperature and conditions. Bring the following in your Day Pack: a good lunch and snacks and at least 2 liters of water. Bring a hat, gloves/mittens, scarf, electrolytes and hiking poles if you use these items. Microspikes may be required if there is snow/ice. Meeting location will be emailed to participants about 2 days prior to the hike. Steady rain /snow storm cancels. No dogs allowed on the hike, thanks for understanding The hike leaders reserve the right to adjust the route if conditions warrant and cannot guarantee the hike will be completed by any specific time.
