Overview

Enjoy a Winter Wonderland setting on this hike to Mt. Tom in Crawford Notch NH. At 4051 ft, this is a moderate Winter 4000 footer with some relatively steep sections, around 2250' of elevation gain, and about 6 miles. A very pretty winter hike with some nice views from the top. Moderate pace (1.5 - 2 mph) depending on conditions, slower where required. Full winter gear and some upcountry 3 season hiking and some winter hiking experience a plus. Preference goes to those that took the Winter Workshop on 11/2/2024. Others are encouraged to register and will be considered 3 weeks prior to the hike.

Bill is an avid local and upcountry four season hiker and three season backpacker who has summited 40 of the NH48 peaks. Bill is actively pursuing his life-long goal of section hiking the AT, having completed CT, MA, WV and much of NY, NH and VA. When not hiking, Bill enjoys paddling, biking and birding. Wilderness First Aid and CPR certified.
