Overview

A pleasant hike up 2 4,000 footers - Hancock and South Hancock. There are views of Carrigain and the Tripyramids from the summit. Conditions permitting we'll be joined by Pretzel the hiking hound. To address unforeseen challenges such as adverse weather, unacceptable trail conditions or excessive crowding, the planned trip destination, activity and/or meeting place and time may be modified. In that event, participants may elect to join in that activity or opt out

Joe is one of the Boston Chapter's most experienced and active trip leaders - his summit visits number in the quadruple digits. Included among the many outings he leads each year for the Chapter's Hiking/Backpacking Committee are the single-day Presidential Range traverse on the summer solstice, and the Map & Compass course in the fall.

Margaret has been hiking in the whites since childhood and has recently become an AMC Leader in Training. She has hiked many 4000 footers many times, and a few of them not at all. She enjoys hiking, backpacking and x-c skiing.
