Overview

On this weekday trip, we'll hike up to High Cabin from the AMC Cardigan Lodge. Once we are settled in, we will enjoy a group meal and some star gazing (dependent on the weather). The plans are to stay the night. The cabin has bunks, a wood stove, a basic kitchen, and a privy. We can finish hiking the mountain the next day before heading down. Full winter gear will be required for the hike. Your leaders will try and help you with this. A gear list will be provided. Mount Cardigan is one of the "52 with a View" peaks. If you like great hiking, socializing, and "roughing it" in winter (but not too rough), this trip is for you!. There is a reservation fee which must be paid prior to being confirmed on the trip.

I am a 4-season hiker and backpacker and have led numerous trips throughout New England. I have hiked the NH 48 in both 3-season and winter and completed the NE 67. However, my greatest joy is long distance hiking and having recently completed the Appalachian Trail as a section hiker.
