Overview

Join AMC, Unpaved Trails For All, and The Massachusetts Office of Outdoor Recreation to kick off the Trail Access Working Group. MA has over 4,000 miles of trails on state-owned land, yet less than 8 miles are accessible to people with disabilities or others with mobility considerations. Accessible trails let more people get outside and AMC is proud to be a leader in designing and building all-persons trails. Join us on November 6 to celebrate the Trail Access Work Group launch and experience AMC's newest universally accessible trail at Noble View Outdoor Center! The Trail Access Work Group will consist of government agencies, municipal leaders, disabled trail users, trail and conservation groups, and other trail users. The group will produce an assessment, report, and recommendations to maximize paved and unpaved accessible trails and the experiences they provide. This event will raise awareness about accessible nature trails and celebrate Secretary Tepper and Director Jahnige's leadership in increasing access to nature for all in Massachusetts.
