New Hampshire, White Mountains,
NH
This trip is part of the Boston Chapter Winter Hiking Program (WHP) and is only open to enrolled participants of the program. If you would like more information about the WHP, please visit: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1w_4evBZ-fTs17Ha4H8AwhfdRI2FRK1HWvlLR00OTRks/edit?usp=sharing If you still have questions, email us at [email protected] This is a 4.4 mile, 1800' elevation gain loop with great views only a couple of hours north of Boston. We will hike at a moderate pace. This route traverses open slabs and two exposed summits. Participants will be required to have crampons and face protection. As this is an instructional hike, you're not expected to have experience using crampons before the trip. Leaders can help you with that. To save time, you should fit them to your boots before the trip. Participants should also have ready access to snowshoes, which will be required in the event of recent heavy snow. To address unforeseen challenges such as adverse weather, unacceptable trail conditions or excessive crowding, the planned trip destination, activity and/or meeting place and time may be modified. In that event, participants may elect to join in that activity or opt out. Backup is Tecumseh
