Overview

Join us for an 8 - 9-mile hike on some of the lesser travelled trails in Wissahickon Valley Park. Our route will take us on both sides of Lincoln Drive, and high into the canopy on both sides of Wissahickon Creek where we should have great views of the creek below. Trails are rocky and there are hills! We will keep a moderate pace and will stop midway through the hike for a quick snack break. Anticipated hike time 3.5 - 4.5 hours depending on the pace of the group. Bing along plenty of water and snacks and dress for the weather. Steady rain cancels - if in doubt, please check the status in outdoors.org by 7am the morning of the hike or contact leader. Logistics - we will meet at the corner of West Mount Airy Avenue and Mount Airy Terrace - there is plenty of street parking available.
