NY/NJ Trail Conference Map: 119 Northern Harriman Bear Mountain Trails Meet at 9:00a.m. Silvermine Parking, Seven Lakes Drive Harriman NY We'll start at 9:15 sharp. Please bring enough food, water and appropriate gear. Up Menomine Trail (Y) to go left at Red Cross (red). From the Red Cross we'll go left on Owl Lake Road (Unmarked Trail; I'll need extra eyes at this juncture) to go left on the 1779. We'll then make a left where the Appalachian Trail (W) and Ramapo-Dunderberg (R) converge. Up to three lovely views on Black Mountain then down to meet up with the Memomine and a right back to the Silvermine Parking lot. Severe weather or steady rain cancel. If in doubt, please check your email the evening before, or phone me (no later than 9p.m. please) We love dogs, but they are prohibited. We enjoy music, but listening is prohibited during the hike. Please note that Covid-19 has persisted in our region from its onset in 2020, with cases currently on the rise. In the interest of public health, do not join this hike if symptomatic of Covid-19 or infected with it.
