Join us as we hike to Mount Moriah (4,049') - one of NH's 48 four thousand footers and part of the Carter-Moriah Range located southeast of Gorham. If the weather cooperates, there will be beautiful 360 degree views from the summit, including the Presidential range. We will hike 9.1 miles with about 3,300 feet of elevation gain. We will hike at a moderate pace and, depending on trail and weather conditions, will expect the hike to take 7-8 hours. This will be a strenuous hike so please be prepared for the physical challenge of climbing this peak. As we will be in full winter season in the White Mountains you will want to be prepared with extra warm layers, microspikes, gloves, hat, etc. To address unforeseen challenges such as adverse weather, unacceptable trail conditions or excessive crowding, the planned trip destination, activity and/or meeting place and time may be modified. In that event, participants may elect to join in that activity or opt out.
