Overview

Join me for a beautiful but strenuous hike on the Appalachian Trail from Route 23 to the Ledges. We climb from Route 23 to the Ledges, stop for a break and enjoy the view. We retrace our steps and stop at Benedict Pond for lunch. We can then decide if we want to walk around the pond or simply retrace our route back to the trailhead (now all downhill!). Elevation gain is around 1000 feet. Mileage around 6 miles including a walk around the pond. Bring food, water, poles if you use them and maybe microspikes? Dress in layers and wear closed toed shoes with a good tread. More information on gear neared the hike date!
