Overview

This trip is part of the Boston Chapter Winter Hiking Program (WHP) and is only open to enrolled participants of the program. If you would like more information about the WHP, please visit: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1w_4evBZ-fTs17Ha4H8AwhfdRI2FRK1HWvlLR00OTRks/edit?usp=sharing . If you still have questions, email us at [email protected] Mt. Chocorua is one of the most climbed and photographed mountains in the White Mountains. Join your fellow WHP participants and trip leaders on this rewarding day hike. Weather permitting, we will have 360 views of the Lakes Region and the White Mountains at the exposed summit! Expect to spend about half an hour there for an extended break for lunch/snack/nap if conditions are favorable. Time permitting, we might also visit the frozen Champney Falls along the way! We will cover up to 7-8 miles and about 2500 feet of elevation gain at a moderate pace. The route includes some open ledges that will likely require the use of microspikes and/or crampons. To address unforeseen challenges such as adverse weather, unacceptable trail conditions or excessive crowding, the planned trip destination, activity and/or meeting place and time may be modified. In that event, participants may elect to join in that activity or opt out. Bad weather will cause cancellation
