New Hampshire, White Mountains,
NH
Feeling the winter blues? Shake them off with us as we head out for some amazing views on a hike up one of the quieter 52 WAV peaks, Mount Tremont (3,371 ft)! The trail is approximately 5.5 mi and 2,500 ft of elevation gain. The pace is expected to be moderate, but will depend on conditions. Given the low crowd levels of this trail, we're likely to be breaking trail, so we're looking for experienced winter hikers in good shape and fully geared up with essentials including microspikes, snowshoes, and face protection. If time, conditions, and group energy allow, we might even add a short out-and-back to Owl's Cliffs-an extra 0.8 miles and 800 ft of elevation-for even more views! There is very limited roadside parking at the trailhead, so carpooling is highly encouraged. If needed, we may meet a few miles away to consolidate into fewer cars before the start of the hike. To address unforeseen challenges such as adverse weather, unacceptable trail conditions or excessive crowding, the planned trip destination, activity and/or meeting place and time may be modified. In that event, participants may elect to join in that activity or opt out
