Overview

This trip is part of the Boston Chapter Winter Hiking Program (WHP) and is only open to enrolled participants of the program. If you still have questions, email us at [email protected]. The hiking for this weekend will be at a level 2-3 (Moderate). Each day, we will have two hikes of different difficulty, which will be selected based on the weather, trail conditions, and the experience of the participants. Possible destinations include Mts. Willard, Avalon, Webster, Jackson, Pierce, and Eisenhower. We will be staying at the Shapleigh Studio bunkhouse (heated) at the AMC Highland Center in Crawford Notch, Friday & Saturday nights. The Shapleigh has linens, blankets, pillows, etc., so you don't need to bring these. Friday/Saturday lodging, Saturday dinner, and Saturday & Sunday breakfast is included. To address unforeseen challenges such as adverse weather, unacceptable trail conditions or excessive crowding, the planned trip destination, activity and/or meeting place and time may be modified. In that event, participants may elect to join in that activity or opt out. Backup plan: we'll pick a dayhike suitable for the weather
