Overview

This hike is an approximate 6 mile clockwise loop following the Blue/Red and Blue trails. We may take the Blue/Orange trail for a short while on the way back. This trail is rocky with some steep inclines/declines, trap rock mountain ridges and vistas with nice views on the east and west sides. We will be hiking at a moderate pace and will take a snack break on the west side. Proper hiking boots/shoes (no sneakers) are required. Please remember to dress in layers and bring gloves and a hat. Trekking poles are strongly recommended. Please bring plenty of water, snacks, bug spray and sunscreen. We will meet at 9:15am for a prompt 9:30am start. Directions - Rte. 72 East to New Britain and CT-9, exit to Corbin Avenue CT-372.Take CT-372 to Farmington Avenue. Turn right on CT-71A S/High Road and turn right to 437 West Lane.
