Overview

This is an easy hike on relatively flat terrain for about 3.5 miles around Lake Chamberlain, with a side visit to Sperry Falls. The parking lot is gated, but will be open from 8:45-9:00. We will head out promptly at 9:15. NO DOGS ARE PERMITTED on Regional Water Authority lands. Proper hiking footwear is mandatory: no sneakers. If there is snow or ice, bring poles and spikes. Hikers are responsible for carrying water, a snack, sunscreen, personal medications and first-aid supplies. There is a porta-potty near the start of the hike. All HIKERS MUST REGISTER WITH THE LEADER BY E-MAIL at [email protected]. . Directions: Take Litchfield Turnpike (Rte. 69) to Morris Road, then turn left onto the unpaved portion of Sperry Road. The parking lot is a short distance down on the right. Although unpaved, this portion of Sperry Road and the parking lot are well-maintained and easily navigable by cars.
