Escape into winter to the heart of the White Mountains for a weekend of hiking and outdoor exploration! Whether you're new to winter hiking or looking to expand your skills, this weekend offers a perfect balance of adventure, learning, and breathtaking scenery with a group of like-minded women. Our experienced AMC Guides will lead you on easy-to-moderate hikes to stunning vistas and frozen waterfalls in Crawford Notch near Mt Washington, while ensuring a supportive and fun group environment. You'll also learn essential winter skills to keep you safe and comfortable in the winter landscape, from traction techniques to gear tips. Friday Evening: Arrive at the AMC Highland Center Lodge, settle into your cozy accommodations, and meet your fellow adventurers. After a welcome dinner, we'll introduce you to the weekend's itinerary and get ready for a weekend of fun and discovery! Saturday: After a hearty breakfast at the lodge, head out with your guides on an easy-to-moderate hike through the snowy forests of Crawford Notch. Enjoy the beauty of frozen waterfalls and mountain views while learning about winter ecology and animal tracks. Our guides will share fascinating insights into the natural history of the region, helping you connect with the environment in new ways. Sunday: After breakfast, we'll embark on another scenic hike, further exploring the winter wonderland of Crawford Notch. By now, you'll feel more confident in your winter hiking abilities and have a deeper appreciation for the natural world around you. We'll have lunch and wrap up and say our goodbyes in the afternoon. Don't let the cold weather keep you inside-join us for a weekend of adventure and winter wonder at the base of Mount Washington. Whether you're hiking for the first time or an experienced outdoor enthusiast, this trip will inspire you to embrace the beauty and tranquility of winter in the mountains. Women's+ Adventures: These experiences are led by women, trans and non-binary folks for members of these marginalized genders. What is a marginalized gender? Trans men and women, non-binary, and two-spirit people, in addition to cisgender women, are members of this group who have been historically marginalized based on gender. These trips offer the spirit of adventure in an encouraging and supportive atmosphere.
