If you would like more information about the WHP, please visit: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1w_4evBZ-fTs17Ha4H8AwhfdRI2FRK1HWvlLR00OTRks/edit?usp=sharing If you still have questions, email us at [email protected] Join us for an out-and-back hike to Mount Waumbek (4,006') one of New Hampshire's lower 48 four thousand footers located in the Pliny Range near the town of Jefferson. While the summit is heavily wooded, a blowdown area 50 yards beyond the summit provides an excellent view of the northern Presidential Range. We will hike a total distance of 7.2 miles with 2,700 ft of elevation gain. This will be a vigorous hike at a moderate pace that will take us 5-6 hrs depending on trail and weather conditions. To address unforeseen challenges such as adverse weather, unacceptable trail conditions or excessive crowding, the planned trip destination, activity and/or meeting place and time may be modified. In that event, participants may elect to join in that activity or opt out. This is a part of WHP. Backup plan in case of bad weather: we will cancel the trip.
