Meet at 10:00 a.m. to hike at 10:15 a.m. from the parking lot for Brown's Corners Athletic Fields, 812 Steele Rd., New Hartford, off Rt. 202. This out and back moderately fast paced 9-mile hike will traverse the Tunxis Trail from Rt. 202 to Hotchkiss Road in Burlington where we will stop for a look at Bunnell's Falls. The hike has two steep climbs with overall elevation gain of 900 feet. There is no need to RSVP for this hike or to send regrets as to why you cannot make it: just show up if interested. Rain cancels. Any decision to cancel will be made at 7 a.m. the morning of the hike and an email would be sent via the club's email list to announce this potential change. Left on Steele Rd., then right into the parking area. From the east, take I-84, Exit 39 to Rt. 4 West for 7.5 miles. Left on Rt. 4 West by Rt. 179 for 2.3 miles. Right on Covey Rd. (becomes Southeast Rd.) for 4.4 miles. Cross Rt. 202, then right into the parking area.

From the west, take, Rt. 8, Exit 50 (old Exit 44) to Rt. 202 East for 7.6 miles. Left on Steele Rd., then right into the parking area. From the east, take I-84, Exit 39 to Rt. 4 West for 7.5 miles. Left on Rt. 4 West by Rt. 179 for 2.3 miles. Right on Covey Rd. (becomes Southeast Rd.) for 4.4 miles. Cross Rt. 202, then right into the parking area.
