?Hike about 3.5 -4 miles through hilly woods, along a meadow and high on a ridge on Joshua's Trust property. Two stream crossings and a few areas of rocky footing. Highest point on property is 480 above sea level. Short walk along road to Church Farm homestead and across road to short boardwalk to meadow. Possible access to Mt. Hope River if trail is not too overgrown or wet. Meet at 9:45 for prompt 10:00 start. Directions: From the jct. with Rte. 195 in Mansfield Center, south of UConn at a stop light, take Rte. 89 north for 4.7 miles to a stop light at Mt Hope Road. Continue 1.2 mi. further on Rte. 89 to a left onto Varga Rd, just north of large yellow house with white columns (Church Farm). When on Varga Rd, look on right for parking signs in 500 ft. If that is full, continue 100 ft. north to sporadic parking before trailhead. Please pull off road. Carpool if possible. Eats after at Midway Pizza at 174 Ashford Center Rd on Rte. 44 in Ashford.
