Overview

A 5 mile hike in Holcomb Farms and the McLean Game Refuge. Relatively level with one steep descent and ascent. Bring traction devices if snow is on the ground and poles. Also bring water and a snack or lunch. Meet at Holcomb Farms at 9:15 for a prompt 9:30 start. Directions. Take exit 40 (rt.20) off of I 91, drive towards Granby Center. At the intersection of l0/189 & 20 proceed west on 20 for 2.5 miles, turn Left onto Day St. South for 0.6 miles to stop sign & cross Simsbury Rd into Holcomb Farms. Thunderstorms and sleet or heavy snow cancel.
