We will hike a combination of the Skyline and Reservoir Trails (plus some others) in the Middlesex Fells, including views of Boston from the Wright Tower. This hike is approximately 7 miles, with approximately 1200' of elevation gain. Parts of the trail will be steep and rocky, so sturdy shoes (hiking boots or trail shoes) are required, poles are optional. We will hike at a moderate pace, for about 4 hours, including a break for snacks/lunch. An information sheet with detailed meet-up location and other information will be sent out about two days before the hike. In case of wintry conditions, microspikes may be needed, and/or we may change the planned route - this information will be included in the information sheet. [NOTE: this hike is NOT part of the WHP of the Boston chapter, for which separate Fells hikes are scheduled for both Saturday and Sunday.] Weather: Thunderstorms or extreme winds/heavy rain may delay, cancel, or shorten this hike. We won't cancel because of light rain. If wintry conditions make either parking or hiking difficult, the hike may be canceled. No dogs permitted on this hike, except pre-approved service dogs.
