The Wissahickon is not only a beautiful hiking location - it's also a popular film and TV setting! Come join us on a 9- 11 mile, moderately paced hike to explore the filming locations of several movies and TV shows. During the hike, we will share screen shots and clips from some of those shows and films. We will travel both on Forbidden Drive and the wooded trails which are rocky and hilly. We will stop midway through the hike for a quick snack break. Anticipated hike time 3.5 to 4.5 hours depending on the pace of the group. Bring along plenty of water and snacks and dress in layers for the weather. Steady rain cancels - check status on outdoors.org by 7am the day of the hike or contact leader. Logistics - we will meet on the corner of Rex Ave and Seminole Ave where there is plenty of street parking.
