Join us for a moderate paced hike in the Natural Lands Cheslen Preserve, the largest nature preserve in Chester County. The trails will take us through meadows and farmlands, past historic landmarks, through shaded woods, alongside streams, and up and down rolling hills providing panoramic views (approximately 800 feet elevation gain). Route subject to change based on weather and trail conditions. Anticipated hike time 3 - 3.5 hours Logistics: We will meet in the parking lot by the Cheslen Preserve Lenfest Center, 1199 Cannery Road, Coatesville PA. Restrooms may be available at the start of the hike. Dress in and carry layers as needed for your comfort - it can get cool and windy at the top of the hills. Bring water and snacks as needed. We will not be taking a lunch break so please plan to bring snacks that can be consumed during a brief hiking stop. Please let leader know if you have any medical conditions (allergies, etc) that could affect your ability to complete the hike. Heavy rain cancels.
