Join us on a scenic, moderately-paced winter hike up Rattlesnake mountain. This is a 5.5-mile hike with 1,528 ft of elevation gain. There will be great views of Squam Lake and surrounding islands. We will begin by ascending West Rattlesnake, loop around the Five Finger Point Natural Area, and return via East Rattlesnake. This is a point-to-point trail, so we'll start by spotting a car. Parking may be limited so we highly encourage carpooling. To address unforeseen challenges such as adverse weather, unacceptable trail conditions or excessive crowding, the planned trip destination, activity and/or meeting place and time may be modified. In that event, participants may elect to join in that activity or opt out.
