Overview

Cross-country skiers with backcountry experience, join us on this 7-mile round-trip to Lower Greeley Pond in Waterville Valley. This is an ungroomed route along a carriage road leading to a narrow wooded ski trail that rises 800 feet and includes multiple river and stream crossings. The return trip will be mostly downhill. Trail conditions could include deep untracked powder, crust, or ice. This trip is suitable for intermediate level cross country skiers with metal-edged skis (full or partial metal edge) who have prior backcountry training or experience. We will enjoy lunch trail-side at Lower Greely Pond and expect to return mid-to-late-afternoon.
